ISLE OF MAN STEAM PACKET COMPANY ENGINEERING UPDATE 4

11/8/2010

Further to the update of Wednesday 4th August, the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company wishes to confirm that services will continue to operate to the schedule advised last week.

Snaefell will continue to operate the Dublin and Belfast routes until early September. It has been decided that from Tuesday 7th September, when the schedule becomes less busy, Manannan will be used to cover all scheduled Snaefell services while repairs to Snaefell are carried out.

Chief Executive Mark Woodward said: “The approach we have taken was selected as it causes the least disruption to passengers and avoids the need to cancel sailings. Repairs to Snaefell have been scheduled to commence after the busy school holiday period. All scheduled Liverpool and Belfast fast craft sailings will be completed by Manannan during this time.

“I would once again like to apologise to passengers for the ongoing longer crossing times and thank them for their patience.”
